Just spoke to an incompetent customer service rep in Retail Team.
After spending 20 mins holding to be advised by the online team, he needed to transfer me to the retail team, who would be happy to help!
Spoke to an incompetent lady! Advised her that I had a product issue with some bedding I had purchased in store, and due to being under Tier 4 lockdown I was unable to go into a store to return the item for a full refund. She did not have a clue! Told me I could go into a store and collect the item or I could send a friend to collect my food!? I told her once again due to Tier 4 lockdown restriction we have been told to stay home by the UK Government! Again she just continued to tell me to go to a store and return my faulty product or send a friend! I advised her that she did not understand what I was saying, which she insisted she did, talking over me, again telling me to go back to the store to return the product or send a friend... Or wait till we are out of Tier 4 lockdown! I advised her no one knows when Tier 4 lock down will be lifted and I was not willing to wait for months for a refund. Requested to speak to her Manager and her name and she hung up on me! Absolutely disgusting incompetent service!

Wrong Size Sofa - Ordered 'Nantucket Chais Corner Sofa'. After waiting just over 3 months for delivery when it arrived it was incorrect size. Sofa now blocks a doorway.
With loads of chasing on our behalf, M&S have admitted that sizes on their website were incorrect but despite promises they will contact us to amend we have had no meaningful contact from M&S. Customer service is absolutely appalling.
Timeline of events:
29/01/2021 - Sofa ordered online.
04/05/2021 - Informed M&S sofa wrong size and sent them photo proof with measurements.
05/05/2021 - Received voicemail from M&S simply stating that sizes were correct. Phoned customer services again and informed them none of our questions had been answered or photographic proof had been addressed.
13/05/2021 - After no contact from M&S contacted customer services and spoke 'customer referrals team'. They informed me their website had incorrect measurements and they would launch an investigation.
20/05/2021 - No contact from M&S. Sent email requesting update.
22/05/2021 - Received reply that someone would contact me.
26/05/2021 - STILL NO CONTACT FROM M&S. Emailed to request further update.
28/05/2021 - Received reply that someone would contact me.
02/06/2021 - to this date have still had no further contact or update from M&S.

When buying M&S shoes recently of which I have always purchased a size 4.5 shoe that has always fitted me perfectly, I was shocked this weekend when I tried on a size 4.5 shoe only to find that it was too lose and with wear in time would definitely fall off the heal of my foot, I tried a size 4 which was it little bit tighter than I was normally used to but I have purchased them hoping they will stretch a bit with wear. I don't know if M&S have changed there supplier or the company who manufacture the shoes they sell but there shoe sizes have definitely changed which is a shame. I hope I don't have to change my store where I buy my shoes and start buying my shoes at another top shoe retailer that does half sizes.

Today bought some new clothes in the Ayr store at15.35 today Tricia the assistant was extremely helpful as I had vouchers and point coupons to use and she helped me with these. I was pleasantly impressed with the new range of "summer" clothes. Long may this store grace Ayr High Street.

Brought Fillet Steak it’s was tough full of gristle, this is not fillet steak and I will never buy steak from M&S again. Also brought sirloin steak previously the top of the meat you see through packet always looks lovely but when it was opened the underneath side was just one massive piece of gristle absolutely disgusting can’t believe they are able to sell this meat.

I had a 20% off sparks offer for bedding, women’s trousers and one for shoes. They checkout only allocated 10% on some pillows so I contacted M&S for an explanation. Within a few hours the offer on my sparks had been manually adjusted to show 10% but, I had taken a photo showing the 20% offer. Over 3/4 weeks later and no one from the referral team had bothered to contact me until I rang today. A guy called Daniel Kelly informed me that it was an error and had been amended when the mistake was picked up by previous customers. Yet the offer was due to finish at midnight so my offer had not been amended. I find this fraudulent activity on behalf of the company and Daniel even had the nerve to offer me “10%” today!!! What an insult. You should be assumed of yourselves for misleading your customers and not even honouring your mistakes. One less customer for you!! I won’t tolerate such disgusting treatment of your customers.

My experience with Marks and Spencer delivery has been terrible - they use Hermes and when you try and order multiple things they come on different days, meaning you have to continually liase with hermes. I have lost items (because I asked Hermes to leave the item in the bin outside my house and it was gone by the time I had managed to come home). I have not been offered any refund on the items that i never received. I really expected a better service from then rather than having lost substantial money and time.

Yesterday my wife went to M&S Market Street to return a pair of school trousers that she bought the previous day and were too small for our son. The woman at the till was very rude to her because the shop label was missing. My wife would rather have someone that politely explain to her she won't be able to return the item (even though she got the receipt and the hanger) than to have a sales assistant being aggressive, moody and rude over such a small thing.

Before I was going to write a review, I wanted to give M&S the opportunity to respond to my complaint. Unfortunately, there does not appear to be a complaints procedure online, you have to call the Customer Services phone number, which I did but was kept waiting and ended up putting the phone down and decided to write this review instead. I am someone who does not write reviews but, on this occasion, felt I needed to give my opinion.I order the Lovely Mum Bouquet on-line for my Mum, but I was most disappointed & saddened in the Mother’s Day flowers received yesterday afternoon (Sunday 14th March). These were described on the M&S website as Lovely Mum Bouquet, on taking delivery of these flowers yesterday, in my opinion I would not describe as lovely or fresh. These were removed immediately from the box as they were drooping and placed in water & flower food provided in the hope that they would recover, unfortunately some of the flowers arrived squashed and have not recovered, the roses I do not believe are going to last more than a few days as they are already starting to go brown. The other issue I had with M&S is that there was no gift message that I had added, which is described on the M&S website. This was on my confirmation order, but the service was not provided, I find this to be most unsatisfactory. It is only that my mum lives with me that I was able to tell her who they were from.I was fortunate that I had bought a beautiful bouquet from a well know supermarket as well for my mum and at half the price I might add, so at least she will have flowers that will last for more than a few days.On a positive note, at least they did arrive on Mother’s Day and some of the flowers are passable but could be fresher. I do shop at M&S both in store and on-line, but I have not ordered flowers before, I would have expected a much better-quality product from a reputable company as Marks & Spencer. In my opinion the flowers I ordered did not arrive in the condition as described and had M&S had an email that I could have addressed my complaint to I would have taken this route.M&S need to investigate their complaints procedures and how they package their flowers if they want customers to have confidence in their product.I will remain a shopper at M&S as their products are of good quality. However, from my experience, I could not recommend buying flowers on-line.

Disgraceful - ordered for mother’s day did not arrive. Spent 20 minutes on hold to be told sorry about that we’ll deliver them next Friday. That’s it Don’t order from them, totally disgusting.

Pitiful Flower Delivery by M&S
Absolutely furious that my mum recieved a wilted bunch of nothing today which looked absolutely nothing like the beautiful and expensive bunch I ordered! Flowers that there were were tiny and broken. All just leaves and twigs. If I could post the pitiful picture of what they look like I would!
No option to complain apart from phoning a number that puts you on hold for forever! No option to email or anything. I am left disappointed and horrified that my mother recieved THIS For Mother's Day when I though M&S were meant to provide quality. Will never trust them again.

Mother’s Day flowers ordered. They were delivered but were frankly only fit for the bin. A few half dead flowers packed out with foliage and bearing no resemblance what so ever to the picture. I have also completed the on line complaint and as another reviewer has said I haven’t had an acknowledgement. As their profits continue to plunge can M and S really afford to provide such shoddy goods and services. Fortunately there is more choice to order flowers from other suppliers so that’s the last time I am ordering from M and S.

40 years useing marks in Romford and elsewhere found caring people and quality on line delivery's with good food and staff
